Eckhart is part of the Eckhart Interior Design Group, a series of companies working in the field of interior design and architecture. This combination of different disciplines within the larger group was set up to reflect the structure that we find in our everyday practice. Based on our vision of a holistic approach to projects, we focus on every aspect of interior design to allow for a full-service and turn-key project path.

In a typical project path, we work from inception and defining the brief (Eckhart Research) via design and detailing (Eckhart Studio) to execution and service (Eckhart Store & Eckhart Gallery).

In the studio, we have a talented group of designers and architects who work together in small teams headed by a project leader. We start with a project brief (supplied by the client or developed with our research team) and a spatial investigation to identify the goals, needs and ambitions of our clients. In a series of consecutive steps, a design concept is developed and refined in a process of continuous feedback, both internally and externally.

As the design grows and matures, our comprehensive database of materials and products is used to work out the project in detail, both technically and aesthetically. This process of detailing can range from mood boards, renderings and small models to full-scale mockups to ensure that every decision is based on the best possible knowledge and all details are worked out. 

Following the final design, we provide the essential project management in controlling the professional execution and delivery of a project until the key is turned, with full support from our service department extending beyond the actual hand-over.
